Asst. Finance Officer/Clerk –
Town Of Haw River, North Carolina, pop. 2052. The Town of Haw River is a full service town. Responsibilities include assisting Town Manager with planning, organizing & directing all financial mgmt. functions including accounting, general ledger, payroll, financial reporting, AP, AR & debt mgmt. Position also serves as the Town Clerk. Work to include extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of public finance administration including governmental accounting.
Desirable education and experience: A degree in accounting & three years of experience or equivalent combination. Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal & team-building skills as well as strong problem solving & analytical abilities. General Maintenance Worker I-
An employee in this class is responsible for work related to the maintenance of the streets, buildings, grounds and sewer and water systems. Good mechanical ability needed; duties include mowing, pruning, mulching, building and facility maintenance, yard waste/trash pick-up, and reading meters. The person selected for this position must be able to pick-up 50 lbs or more on a consistent basis, able to push and pull with a large amount of force, walk, and drive. Must have sufficient education to perform job duties; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience not required but is preferred. Applicants must have valid NC driver’s license.
