Part-Time Positions at Haw River Municipal Park

 

The Town of Haw River Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting application for part-time help. Duties include but not limited to overseeing park and activities, opening and closing of park, general maintenance, keeping park grounds neat and in order. This position will require night and weekend work and average 10 to 15 hours a week. The person selected for this position must be able to pick-up 50 lbs. or more on a consistent basis, able to push and pull with a large amount of force, walk, and drive.  Must have sufficient education to perform job duties; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience not required but is preferred. Applicants must have valid NC driver’s license.  Drug screen required. Applications can be obtained from on our website at www.townofhawriver.com or at Town Hall. Those interested should submit application to Haw River Town Hall, attention Randall King, located at P.O. Police Officer Recruitment:

The Town of Haw River, NC, seeks highly qualified professional and motivated police officer candidates to work in our community.  The Town of Haw River Police Department is a modern, well-equipped, full-service law enforcement agency.  Duties include protection of life and property, enforcement of laws and ordinances, crime prevention/detection/investigation, enforcing traffic laws and investigating accidents.  Requirements:  High school graduate or GED with a degree in criminal justice preferred; NC Basic Law Enforcement Certification required.  North Carolina Drivers License required. 

  • Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must never have been convicted of a felony in any state.
  • Must possess High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must possess Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certificate.
